Day 25

And we're finally in the final week of the inspirational month.. This has seriously been a great journey and I hope you've all enjoyed it :D
Something that's slightly different again: Metal names.

Well these are only made on request since there is such an abundance of different names out there.

Today I made two that we're ordered: Rachel & Cesc and one for myself because believe it or not I never manage to make something for myself. That's something that happens once in a blue moon!!

Crystals that go along with necklace are the choice of the client obviously..
These are a beautiful gift, especially for someone with a complicated/rare name.
I started making them because I have some friends that can never find anything with their name on it as they have a weird name.
So I started it as a request and then then orders started pouring in.

Basically, when they are ordered I send the client a sketch of what it is going to look like and a photo of the crystals I have, then take their feed back on it. After that I start working away and send them the final picture. Following this its done. The whole process usually takes 2 to 3 days. depending how soon the client contacts me back.

So, if anyone is interested just message or e-mail me at info@funkidiva.com
You know the drill..

Day 21

Cuff style bracelets are Funki Diva's recent addition. They are basically bracelets with beads sewn on fabric. Inside they have cardboard to give them a little shape and the beads are sewn on. These are a lovely addition to our stock. The following bracelets are still a little unfinished as I still have to add on the ribbon as a link for closing.

Until next time,

20th June

Today my style is changing a little.. I'm not focusing on jewellery but I'm making something which is still in that same context. I created some cute Chinese origami gift boxes which complement every jewellery piece.

Wire wrapped pendants are so fun to make.. By making the same design you can also add them onto earrings or use them as cute charms.

Well my title gave it away.. Today I worked with pearls. One of the simplest yet sweetest beads and they're perfect for people of any age! These are 2 pairs of earrings I made, enjoy them guys!!

15th!! Half way through :D

We're finally half way through the inspirational month.. So, I decided to give you a little taste of my bead stash... This is just the tiniest amount of beads and believe me I have tons..
And out of all of those I chose to make a bracelet, gold links with yellow and green beads. It's just perfect!!
Thanks again,

14th Day of Inspiration

On this day, I decided to make some sweet necklaces. They're triple stranded yet combined into one. Easy to wear and they give a fresh yet glamorous look to an outfit.

13th June

Hmm.. What did I do today? :D

I made a necklace which yes I definitely plan on keeping all for myself.. It's a necklace that can be worn in two ways. You can either wear it as one long necklace, half chain and half beads. Or as 2 necklaces in one, one chain and the other beads.

I also made a cute little wire wrapped ring. The flower is made out of wood. It's basically a wood button bought from Thailand.

Day 12

On this day I didn't have any particular inspiration hit me and I had no time to create something even if it did.

Most of my day was spent making jewellery repairs for some of my customers. Amongst which was a beautiful bracelet she had bought from Thailand.

Well long story short - she tore it. So it was up to me to put it back together. But it wasn't that simple...

I had to literally rip it apart and undo the whole thing and then start from scratch. It took me 4 whole hours to re make it. He's how it turned out:

Just started..

The Beads were sooo tiny!

0ne and a half hours in.

Finally it's ready!!

11th June.. And we're onto double digits!

Today was an easy decision - MOBILE CHARMS!

My mobile charms are currently being sold at Lazer Zone, St. George's Square, Victoria, Gozo, therefore I have to make many more. :)

One of the many charms I made today is this fantastic one shown below. It's a cute little thing made up of 3 of my favourite materials to work with: Glass bead, Smoky quartz (semi-precious gemstone) and a charm.
